Oh England!
Even as a born and bred Brit I still struggle understanding the weather here.
One moment its beaming with sunshine and the next there’s a down pour of rain!
Only last week I walked into a shop wearing sunglasses and walked out into a freak hailstone-storm?!
As the title would suggest at the minute we are going through the typical indecisive English weather we have all come to know and errr…..love?
The hardest part is deciding what to wear, you see the sun in the morning and dare to bare your legs and wear a light jacket and then you’re freezing mid-afternoon when the weather takes a turn for the worst. I am constantly in a battle between being too hot in a thick coat and too cold in a jacket so today I reached into the depths of my wardrobe and pulled out my old faithful.
A rain mac! They keep you warm (but not too warm), if it rains they keep you dry and they are always fun to style up. This one I’ve had for years, I bought it from a boutique in my home town of Grimsby. The colour is cute and traditional with the descending pleats adding a modern twist.
Today I wore it over a polka-dot navy dress from jaeger, tights and chelsea boots.
I was warm, and even though the wind added a chill the sun was still out so I teamed it with my Roxy sunglasses and was ready to face whatever the weather had in store!
