Its always at this time of year I start to ponder my wardrobe decisions, take a step back and re-access the situation. I know it can be tough waving goodbye to the summer dresses and strappy sandals but lets try to embrace it, grab a coat and get going!
The coat I’ve chosen to help me get into that Autumnal state of mind is this french connection stunner. In burnt orange the colour screams Autumn, with the leather trim adding some serious sleek sophistication. For the rest of the outfit I’m channeling a pretty standard palette for this time of year, reds, oranges, blacks, golds, easy to mix and match and classic wardrobe staples.
I decided to team a pair of black silk culottes with this stripy high-neck to add some texture contrast, bringing it together with a thick buckle belt. For me culottes are a perfect choice for this transitional period, still showing a flash of the leg without getting too many chills!
So if you’re still holding on to your summer wardrobe for dear life, take a deep breath and LET.IT.GO. You may discover some old favourites that have been hidden away.
