An evenings entertainment – Parisian style

Ey up guys!

So here’s another little insight into what I got up to in Paris over the new year.

Now as most of you will know if you’ve read the blog before and my previous Parisian blog posts, my brother lives out there. He and his girlfriend Nikki have lived there for about 8 years, both working as dancers. Paul a dancer at the Lido and Nikki at the Moulin Rouge. This means of course whenever I go and visit I get to see lots of shows.

This visit however it was the first time I went to the famous ‘Cirque D’Hiver.’ Located at 110 rue Amelot the circus was established in 1851 and has remained a permanent fixture in Parisian culture since. I can honestly say the show was breath-taking. The lights, the music (a live band) the amazing tricks and stunts not to mention the beautiful architecture of the theatre itself!

Next up was the Lido, having seen the show (and cheered for my big bro) countless times I was still excited to get to see the showgirls and amazing costumes again. The venue itself is decked up with some of the most extravagant chandeliers I have ever seen and you get copious amounts of champagne…which is always a good thing no?

So there we have it. A little glimpse into some of the entertainment Paris has to offer. If you find yourself going on a trip anytime soon I would highly recommend both shows!

Over and out,
Little Miss Winney x
