What’s In My Makeup Bag?…

Pucker up kids and blow a big kiss to my new LuLu Guinness makeup bag!
A present from my best friend Holly for my birthday I was chuffed when I opened it. I’ve always been a big LuLu Guinness fan and as I’m rarely seen without red lippy, it was the perfect gift…bravo Holly! So, I wanted to do a little post about some new makeup products I’ve been using recently and of course have an excuse to take pretty pictures of that sparking red pout…..mwah!

So first up the Make Up For Ever ‘Rouge Artist Intense’ lipstick in shade 34. Now you know me, I’m a girl that loves a lippy and this one has to be a new favourite. Great coverage and amazing texture. I find it really moisturises my lips and keeps them feeling hydrated. The colour is thick and stays on without having to reapply for a good 2-3 hours.

Next up yet another present from Holly (yep she’s a really good best friend) this time for Christmas, I got a beautiful Kate Spade hand mirror. engraved ‘darling’ its just so cute and now goes with me everywhere.

It’s no secret I’m a lover of Chanel, I’ve written about some of the gorgeous makeup before (see here.) The makeup itself is beautiful and the packaging is simply chic. I take my Chanel blush and les beiges powder with me most days, the blush to add bit of colour to my pale cheeks and the powder to even out my skin tone and to get rid of any unwanted shine.

Make-up Atelier Paris is another new brand for me and I’ve taken a huge shine to the eye makeup range. The ‘Starlight’ is a pot of very fine sparkling powder which I choose to dab into the corners of my eyes sweeping up across my brow line to give a little pop when going out for a drink or a dance. Make-up Atelier is a multi-ethnic brand and takes great pride in being able to provide a wide range of cruelty free products to men & women of all shades and colors. Sporting over 50 shades of foundations and 20 shades of concealers and loose powders, I can’t wait to try out some more of their makeup very soon!

Back to Make Up For Ever and onto some of there pens and pencils. The ‘Aqua Lip’ in shade 8C is a waterproof lipliner pencil that really sticks. Absolutely no bleeding and it’s a really gorgeous colour. The ‘Aqua Liner’ in shade 1 is something for the party, a waterproof high precision eyeliner in gold….It’s real snazzy!
These brushes from L.A.B2 are two of a much larger collection but the two i use most. The ‘Strokes of genius crease brush’ and the ‘Strokes of genius brow and lash groomer.’ A really slick design makes them fit perfectly into my small makeup bag and I’ve found whilst using the brow and lash groomer brush, my lashes look more defined and my brow more uniformed.

So there we have it a little update and sneak-peek to whats currently in my makeup bag….the prettiest makeup bag around that is!

Do you have any new beauty buys I should try? Let me know!

I could use any and every item from your bag! That mirror is life! I realized a week ago I dont have more than one or two reds I branched so much into the weird unicorn rainbow colors that Ive had neglect the good classic red. I will check this shade at sephora. Theres so much you could try new at the drugstore and on the high end side. I wonder what brands from there we dont carry here. I love makeup revolution but they have three items here and a whooole collection in UK.
