Hello all, how are we? Enjoying this gorgepus weather I hope. Yep, for those of you reading this outside of the UK then let me fill you in… We’re having a heatwave y’all!! The factor 50 is on, the summer dresses are out and pretty much every roof top bar in London has been visited.
Now it’s no secret that sunshine makes people happier. Moods are lifted and peoples general outlook on life is, well – brighter! Although I”m very much a winter baby (i love a cable knit and bobble hat) even I can’t deny the effects sunshine has on my sense of well-being. It also makes me want to inject more colour into my everyday life. Whether that’s in my wardrobe, my food or my flat. My favourite way of doing this is flowers, I basically turn my bedroom and living space into a botanical garden each summer and I love it. I’ve always loved having fresh flowers in my room, I think it’s something I get from my mum. She always has fresh flowers throughout the house and whenever she comes to visit me in London we head to a local flower market to get some beautiful blooms. Sometimes however I simply don’t have time to go to the markets and I’ve never been a huge fan of supermarket flowers (I just think they’re overpriced for what they are) so when I first heard of Bloom & Wild I was thrilled! I’m happy to report that we’re 6 days in and the flowers are still looking beautiful so I’m super pleased.
