Skin Faves – Summer 2019

Those of you that have been following me for a while know that I love to review whole skincare ranges. However sometimes, they’ll be one stand out product that I just have to share! Instead of dedicating an entire post to one singular product (long!) I thought I’d do a quick round-up of some skincare and health brands/products I’ve been loving recently and want to give a little shot out to, as I reckon you guys will love them. So let’s get cracking! Here are my skin faves from summer 2019…

I’ve been using this scrub for just over a month and not only does it leave my skin feeling amazing it also offers that feeling of luxury, a little treat after a hard day. I’ve found it particulary useful on the hots days when my pores are easily clogged. I use the scrub mainly on my shoulders and back and then my legs to make them smooth and ready for some sunshine. The packaging also looks really nice on the shower shelves, so if you’re into your aesthetics you’ll love this!

I was first introduced to Regenerate at a PR event and was kindly gifted the product. Since then however I’ve not used anything else. I’ve also recently purchased their new mouthwash and looking forward to use them both as a power duo. I have always suffered from sensitive teeth and this toothpaste has certainly minimised it. My thoughts

I’ve spoken time and time again about my love of all things Liz Earle. I actually got this serum back in December as part of a christmas collection box that my gorgeous mum got me as a present. I have a love/hate relationship with serums as so often they don’t work for me/my skin and yet the price points are always so high. I loved this one however and truly felt a lift in hydration. Each use left my skin feeling bright and tight (in a good way haha.)

Coola spf suncreen heatwave sun lotionCoola Pina Colada Sunscreen Spray SPF30 – (236ml – £36)

The easiest way to stay safe in the sun, COOLA’s Eco-Lux SPF 30 Sunscreen is a hassle-free continuous mist, which provides long-wear, non-greasy broad spectrum sun protection – creating an invisible high factor shield between skin and the damaging effects of UV rays. OOLA skin care takes the fuss out of protection with their easy, spray-on sunscreens. Ideal for all skin types (including sensitive), medium/strong sun or those who choose adventure over lounging, this heavenly-scented, SPF 30 filter binds with skin (it’s a chemical sunscreen) that remains water-resistant for up to 40 minutes – so you can swim (or sweat) without stressing about the sun. The brand’s farm-to-face philosophy means that their formulas are brimming with organic plant extracts – including cucumber, algae, strawberry and red raspberry seed oil (a natural sunscreen booster, rich in omegas 3 and 6) – to optimise protection whilst infusing skin with nourishing extracts.

My thoughts

I LOVE this product!! Like ugh, I’m fully obsessed! I have very fair skin meaning SPF is my best mate, not only in summer but all year round. With the recent heatwave hitting the UK it is super important that everyone, no matter what your skin type/tone – uses an SPF of 30 or more. This handy little sunscreen spray has made application so much easier and I will be re-buying time and time again because I just love it! The coverage is excellant and I reapply every couple of hours to keep me covered. Also the smell is delightful.

wonderbalm accidental apothecary arnica magnesium pain reliefAccidental Apothecary Wonder Balm – (1oomg – £35)

Select ingrediants

Shea Butter*, Coconut Oil*, Sunflower Seed Oil, Elemental Magnesium Chloride, Olive Oil, Arnica Flower Extract, Birch Extract, Cannabis Extract (100mg CBD) & Essential Oil Blend *Organic Ingredients

My thoughts

I was originally introuduced to this little pot of magic by my Osteopath – Anisha. I hurt my back a couple of months ago and have been using this on the area to reduce pain. I use it mainly in the evenings as it eases the pain and allows me to have a better sleep. It’s become my go-to wonder balm for basically everything and so far its worked fabulously. I highly recommend for anyone suffering from aches and pains. I’ve also used in on bruises (I bruise like a peach) and it takes the brown/purple colour down straight away and seems to reduced the visability very quickly.

Final Thoughts

So there we go, a few hero products I’ve been loving recently and a list of my current skin faves for summer. I’m hoping to get my hands on a few more products from each of the brands so that hopefully, further down the line I’ll be able to do a full brand overview. But for now, I hope you’ve enjoyed a little insight into each. Do let me know in the comments or over on my Instagram @littlemisswinney if there are any brands you’d like me to try-out and review. Thanks again for stopping by, see you again soon!
