The Brand

‘The mediterranean diet for your skin’

Launched in 2018, Irene Forte Skincare derives from the a philosophy of natural skincare that nourishes the skin from the outside in. I had the pleasure of being introduced to the brand, as well as the founder herself a couples of years back. It’s rare for a founder to attend events but it was evident that Irene was so hugely passionate about her products and skincare in general, she sat down with each attendee to discuss her brand and its ethos. The same evening I was treated to a facial using the Irene Forte Skincare products and this is where my love affair with the brand began. Since then, I’ve included some of the key products into my everyday routine and although these products are definately a more luxury purchase – I’d say overall they are worth the price tag.

The Product

Irene Forte Skincare Review Kate Winney Almond Cleansing Milk

Almond Cleansing Milk

A gentle cleansing milk to remove impurities and replenish the skin. Vegetable Protein Complex and Aloe Leaf Juice help hydrate, calm and soothe, while Wild Rose Oil, Sweet Almond Oil and Shea soften and nourish.  Clinically approved for sensitive skin. Also suitable for all skin types, especially mature, dry or dehydrated.

{200ml – £69}

My Thoughts

At £69 this cleanser is at a much higher price point than some of the others I own however, I do think as skincare goes – a cleanser is where your money should be invested. The Almond Cleansing Milk is great as it’s so gentle while at the same time really getting into the pores to remove the dirt and buildup in your skin. I’ve found whilst living in London a good cleanser is so important as the pollution here is so high. I use this both morning and night and its a great starting point to build on.

Irene Forte Skincare Review Kate Winney Helichrysum Hyaluronic Toner

Helichrysum Hyaluronic Toner

A regenerating toner to hydrate and help minimise the signs of ageing. Hyaluronic Acid and Saccharide Isomerate deliver superior hydration, while Helichrysum Water, White Wine and Amino Acids condition and protect. Suitable for all skin types, especially mature, dry or dehydrated.

{200ml – £79}

My Thoughts

I love a toner. Truly, I always find my skin either loves or hates certain toners and they can lead my skin to thrive and glow or react badly… fortunately this one allowed my skin to shine! It’s a great product and paired with the Almond Cleansing Milk makes a great team. I haven’t used this as regulary as the other products in the range as my skin is so used to my usual toner but I love having the full set of products and when I do use it, it definitely perks my skin up leaving it radiant and dewy.

Irene Forte Skincare Review Kate Winney Almond Eye Cream

Almond Eye Cream

A regenerating eye cream to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and dehydration. Hydro-regulating complex including Pro-Vitamin B5, Hyaluronic Acid, Niacinamide B3 and Aloe Leaf Juice works to replenish, soothe and hydrate. Olive Oil Fractions, Sweet Almond and Avocado Oils help to smooth and protect the delicate eye area. Suitable for all skin types, especially mature, dry or dehydrated.

{30ml – £89}

My Thoughts

I’ve spent years trying to find the perfect eye cream and I must admit, this one is up there with the best. It’s deeply hydrating yet light on the skin which is something I’ve struggled with in the past. The Almond Eye Cream strikes the perfect balance and doesn’t cause that horrendous separating effect when applying makeup on top. I use this both in the AM and PM however it’s in the AM that I really feel the full effects. The coolness of the cream instantly gives my tired (often puffy) eyes a lift.

Irene Forte Skincare Review Kate Winney Hibiscus Night Cream

Hibiscus Night Cream

Regenerating night cream to help smooth, firm and replenish. A unique combination of botanical peptides from Hibiscus and Green Pea help give a smoothing effect to the skin while minimising the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

{50ml – £139}

My Thoughts

Ok so obviously this one at £139 is an investment however, and I don’t say this lightly – it is the best night cream I have ever owned. My skin literally drinks this up. A small amount goes a long way and I apply each night and wake up with a soft glow each morning. The texture of the Hibiscus Night Cream is rich and luxurious and smells like a dream! If you are someone with a bit more disposable income and you’re able to invest in some premium skincare, I’d definately recommend this brand and this product in particular. The Hibiscus Night Cream is my personal hero product from the Irene Forte skincare range.

My Final Thoughts

This brand overall is a luxury skincare brand (just look at those beautiful glass bottles) so if you’re looking to treat yourself and really take pleasure in your daily skincare routine then Irene Forte is the way to go. From the packaging which is just so aesthetically pleasing to the rich ingrediants, each product has been carefully chosen, tested and produced with the upmost passion and professionalism. I’ve also found that as a brand they are incredibly personable, Irene often hosts live chats on the brands Instagram page and herself and the wider team are always on hand to offer advice and suggestions. I truly love this brand. I love looking at the products in my bathroom and I love putting them onto my skin and witnessing the magic happen. You can head over to my Instagram to see a video of my full Irene Forte Skincare evening routine and remember I post all my in depth skincare reviews here on the blog.
