-The wedding of-
Mr & Mrs Oakes
-August 10th 2013-
-The beautiful bride-
I really do love weddings! For one, its always lovely to see a couple that are totally in love say their vows and finally become husband and wife.
Then to celebrate with them along with their family and friends.
All that and the fact that its the perfect excuse to dress up and dust off the fascinator!
And that is exactly what we did.
-Forever in a world of my own-
Last Summer we donned our finest occasion wear and went to pop the champagne and dance the night away to celebrate the marriage of our friend Katie and her new hubby James.
-Me and Holly unknowingly both choosing to wear Paul Smith (fashion sixth sense?)-

I decided to wear one if my favourite pieces from Paul Smith. The crazy Aztec print set against the calm cream background, I was hooked! I’d always loved it, but it had hung in my wardrobe for quite some time, having never found the right event to wear it to.
When the day came and I paired it with some nude heels, a glorious black fascinator and my ever present red pout.

-Here come the boys-
Craig went for a bold statement in blue, beautifully complementing Holly’s floral dress.
Lee chose to wear his outfit spezzato, ‘mastering the mismatch’ and went perfectly with my cream hues.
Both Craig and Lee chose to tailor their outfits. Lee said ‘I am a firm believer in tailoring, it makes an outfit look far more premium and gives you a bespoke edge.’ Craig added ‘For those on a budget, get items slightly cheaper and then alter with a good tailor.’
But beware, buying too cheap can limit your tailoring options.

Spending the day surrounded by friends and loved ones, it really was a personal highlight of 2013.
I wish nothing but happiness for the Katie and James, such a charming couple.
And although we tried our best, we could never out dress the most stunning of all Brides, who when walking down the aisle bought a tear to all our eyes.
Over and out,
