– A world of-
Pure Imagination
Last night I made my way to the stunning Theatre Royal, Drury Lane to watch
Roald Dahl’s
Charlie and the chocolate factory.
Scarf worn as cape – Urban Outfitters
Belt – Vintage
Jeans – Twist & Turbo
Bag – DKNY
Ring – Pilgrim
Having been a big fan of the original 1971 movie I couldn’t wait to see it live on stage, and it didn’t disappoint! From the amazing graphics to the hilarious Oompa Loompa costumes I was gripped from beginning to end.
Stunning Sets – The gates of the Wonka factory
Incredible cast – Led by Douglas Hodge as Wonka
After watching the show (drooling over all the chocolate) we got slightly peckish so popped into Five Guys on the way home and ordered one of their amazing burgers! Yum!
White shirt – H&M
Bracelet – Hultquist
Nails – Leighton Denny (Starlet)
Whilst watching the show I couldn’t help but think of all the clothes that have been inspired (sometimes made) by chocolate and confectionary.
Most recently, Jourdan Dunn (below) in an evening gown reminiscent of a Hershey’s chocolate bar. Also Henry Holland collaborating with Magnum to celebrate their 25th anniversary by making a Magnum inspired dress and also a one off replica made entirely of Chocolate.
Junk Food Couture – Jeremy Scott’s Fall 2014 RTW Collection For Moschino
Magnum 25th Anniversary – House of Holland
So whether its watching it, eating it or wearing it, chocolate will always be one of my go to sugar hits!
Have a look below at details on how to book tickets for Charlie and why not have a nipple of chocolate while you’re at it 😀
Over and out,
