Flower Power – Fashion’s On-going Love Affair

Chelsea Flower Show

-20th – 24th May 2014-

The RHS Chelsea Flower Show is a garden show held for five days in May by the Royal Horticultural Society in the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea in Chelsea, London.

It is the most famous flower show in the United Kingdom, and perhaps in the world.

This year I thought why not celebrate the floral fabulousness by

divulging in one of fashions favourite trends.

-Flower Power-

An explosion of florals walk the catwalks ever year and this year has been no different.

‘This season’s florals encompass the whole range from pastel pretty to techno sport and make an irresistible motif for spring.’ Alexandra Shulman – UK Vogue Editor.

I have always had a keen eye for beautiful blooms, so as soon as Spring/Summer strikes the florals are on! Whether it be graphic prints or pastel petals you can’t go wrong with this style-safe statement.

And its not just clothing that seems to be in full bloom. Fashion houses such as Burberry and Miu Miu have taken it too the accessory department too!

-Miu Miu-

Obviously in an ideal world one could pop to their nearest designer store and pick out whatever one wanted….. however, unless you are lucky enough to be able to afford these fashion house favourites its off to the high street we go!

To be fair we are spoilt for choice with the British high street.

I’ve had a look at all the floral fancies it has to offer and picked out my favourites.

Fashion florals, much like there counterpart in nature continue to grow season to season.

Look after them, nurture them and allow them to grow and if there were a fashion version of the Chelsea Flower Show you may just find yourself in a full bloom, fit to win ‘Best In Show.’

Over and out,

Little Miss Winney
